Join us for an entertaining, exciting evening as The Oak Ridge Boys perform their timeless hits in addition to favorite Christmas Songs, Friday, December 8th, 2017 at 8:00 pm at SKyPAC.
Few Country groups have had the enduring popularity or crossover success of The Oak Ridge Boys. The original formation of the gospel group began around the mid-50’s in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, by the early 70’s the four member group as we know it today was formed and by 1977 they took the country music scene by storm. In October, 2015, The Oak Ridge Boys were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Made up of lead singer Duane Allen, tenor Joe Bonsall, baritone William Lee Golden, and bass Richard Sterben their four separate voices combine to create that unmistakable signature harmony referred to as the “Fifth Voice”. The Oak Ridge Boys have one of the most distinct and recognizable sounds in the music industry.
They bring four decades of various charted singles to the stage every performance, including songs from twelve gold, three platinum and one double-platinum albums. To date, they have had more than a dozen national #1 singles and over thirty Top 10’s.
The Oak’s high-energy stage show remains the heart and soul of what they do. They attribute their longevity to the fact that they love what they do and look forward to getting out on that stage every single time.
Today they are one of the most successful touring groups still performing more than 150 dates each year. In addition to their busy touring schedule they are also strong advocates for numerous charitable and civic causes.
Proceeds from this concert will be split between SKyPAC and the Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society. Tickets start at $32 and can be purchased by visiting www.theskypac.com or by calling the ticket office at 270-904-1880.
