At a press event today, Arts of Southern Kentucky announced that it has commissioned renowned “figurative sculptor” Russ Faxon for a public art installation. Faxon’s sculpture is the first project to come from the work of Arts of Southern Kentucky’s Public Art Committee headed by Judge Mike Buchanon. Thanks to a generous gift by local businessman, Joe Davis, the vision for Public Art will be able to come into fruition. The first art piece will have a permanent home right in front of SKyPAC.
