Part-Time Positions Currently Available

SKYPAC is looking for dependable and motivated individuals to join our stagehand team. Stagehands assist with the technical and physical work that makes live performances possible, including concerts, theatrical productions, and special events.
This is a part-time position with flexible but inconsistent hours based on the performance schedule. Work may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional late nights.
No prior experience is required. We are happy to train the right candidates. This position is a great opportunity for people who are interested in live events, theater, concerts, or technical production and want to learn new skills in a hands-on environment. Informal, on-the-job training can be provided. No experience required — willingness to learn is most important.

SKYPAC is currently compiling a list of Overhire Carpenters to periodically serve in our scenic shop for Ramsey Theatre Company and BGOnstage productions.

Scenic/Carpentry

This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the construction/fabrication, paint, load-in, and strike of scenic/props elements for assigned productions and events.

Ideal candidates should have a broad knowledge of carpentry, tools, and theatrical products; ability to weld or rig is a plus. This role also requires the ability to read and execute construction drawings. Scenic Carpenters may be required to lift, carry, push, pull, and reposition large objects weighing 50+ pounds either alone or with a team.
 

Props/Paint

This position may also require basic experience in standard theatrical painting, techniques, and tools, as well as a comfortability to work at heights exceeding 10ft (on lifts or ladders). Basic experience with 3D texturing, faux finishes, and various typical scenic treatments (woodgraining, stone texture, etc.) is preferred.
 
For those seeking to assist with properties fabrication, basic experience with standard theatrical prop or carpentry construction techniques and tools is necessary. Knowledge of basic scenic paint treatments, soft goods/upholstery, furniture carpentry/construction, and the ability to work at heights (on ladders or lifts) and carry up to 25lbs is preferred.
