The Frazier History Museum in Louisville is doing some pretty incredible things virtually to connect with communities that surround them.  They are loading content on their website each day.  Today’s particular bit with Teaching Artist Brian West hits close to home for us at SKyPAC.  West lives next door to a Louisville Cemetery.  The cemetery was incorporated by a group of seven prominent African American men in 1886 and holds the remains of many notable individuals in the community.  The remains of musician Sylvester Weaver and Sara Weaver are buried there.  SKyPAC continually partners with the Kentucky Blues Society for our Blues in Schools Program.  Weaver dedicated his live to the blues – presenting and preserving as well as Martin.  We hope you’ll enjoy this piece and thank you to the Frazier Museum for this free content.
